The Cleveland Orchestra

The Mozart Experience - Family Concert

Ages 7 - 10

This program runs 03/14/2010 - 03/14/2010: Sunday,
02:00 pm - 03:00 pm

Program Type: Music

The Mozart Experience cleverly combines music and mime to introduce young audiences to the life and music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. An impetuous street musician caught playing the orchestra's grand piano is offered the chance (much to her surprise) to "be Mozart" for this program about one of the most famous composers of all time. The street musician and her prankster companion lead the audience on a wonderful musical adventure that reveals the very human story of Mozart's life, and his musical genius. Audiences will enjoy excerpts of Mozart's most famous works, including Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Papageno's Song from The Magic Flute, and more.

One-hour Family Concerts bring together the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra and innovative guest artists to perform visually engaging concerts that feature some of the best-known classical music of all time. Fun, free, interactive activities related to the concert theme, including Instrument Discovery, begin one hour prior to each concert.
