Cleveland Public Library has served the lifelong reading and information needs of the community since its founding in 1869. The Main Library Collection, recognized as one of the largest and finest public library collections in the United States, attracts readers and researchers from Cleveland and across the country. Through the Main Library, 28 conveniently located neighborhood branches and two mobile units, CPL staff provide access to the collection, offer a diverse range of free public programs, and provide information assistance critical to the lives of Clevelanders.
